Excuses, excuses, excuses

My posting will be a little sparse for the next week and a half. Graduate school residency at the fine establishment in the photograph below will be sucking up all of my gaming time.

Don’t fret, however, because I will return after the grueling 8-9 day affair and be a better writer! At least, a better creative writer. I’m actually not sure if that will translate into the blogging realm. Will my gaming experience be richer after I have bolstered my critical and creative skills with a mainline shot of MFA? Will I emerge from dark, dank hole of the Egan Leadership Center Conference Room (actually well-lit and very comfortable) bursting with new blog post ideas?

Or will I just be infinitely more aware of the many mistakes I commit daily while writing and overwhelmed by the quality gap between my writing and the rest of my MFA program. Every new blog post may be colored by the impending Extended Critical Essay whose 25-40 pages of unwritten critical analysis are mocking my ability to type words into this fancy WordPress interface. This could be the end. The Autumnal City may pass into the cold winter without the questionably sustaining nurture provided by its author.

But you’ll have to wait and see. I have other work to do first.
